This letter goes out to Shane Thomas and his wife Jackie,

We wanted to be sure and thank you for the most incredible experience we had fishing with you the night of June 1st, 2008. Being somewhat skeptical about the trip and as you could sense, about the safety of my wife and 11 year old son I soon realized that you are an exceptional fishing guide. Your knowledge, experience and friendly nature made us all feel very comfortable. Our satisfaction seemed to be very important to you. We were all talking about how much fun we had and now my son is a fishing fool. I was blown away by the quality of the fishing Lake Ontario has to offer. We are all discussing another trip in the fall. Thanks again to you two. Feel free to use this letter as a reference to your potential clients if you like. When we go to Lake Ontario again you will be the only one we need to call. Thanks again,

Stan, Cindy and Stosh

Shane,
Just wanted to write and tell you what a great time we had on the river Saturday and to thank you for your patience and all the information.
As I told you, I am particularly happy that John and Dale got fish (I wasn't unhappy with mine either) :)
When the day was over, I felt I had just attended a clinic on the float fishing technique and I'm confident we will all be better steelhead fishermen for the experience. We'll be talking about this trip for a long time to come.
We'll be back.
Best regards,
Bill

Salmon River drift boat fishing produced this nice chrome steelhead.

Shane,
Justed wanted to say thanks for the awesome weekend of Steelhead fishing. Even though the water was really high and Kenny and I were newbies to the Steelhead scene you made the experience great. You know all the spots and the tricks to get those fish on. That 12lb Steelhead fight is something I'll never forget. Theres just nothing like coming home with some fresh trout and some great stories. We would recommend you to any of our friends and family and are already thinking about another trip up to see you real soon. Thanks again!!!

Shane,
Thanks once again for another awesome trip!!! Fishing was a little rougher this year but you kept us out all night making sure we put fish in the boat and not letting us give up. We were the last boat out of the lake every morning(4 nights in a row) that tells us you want us to catch our fish. I don't know how you row that drift boat every night for twelve hours in rain and rough water but you did it. Thanks for everything we will see you again in salmon season and walleye next year for another unforgetable trip. Thanks the WV gang (Brandon, Kevin, an Wes).

Hi Shane and Jackie,
Just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how very thankful I am personally for having meet you both some six years ago. Time flys when you are having fun. Thanks for all the great fishing trips on the river and lake. All my fishing buddies rave about you as a guide and a great guy!! My boys can't wait to come fishing again this year. My only regret is that I do not live closer. You are a true professional in every way and would reccommend you as I have to anyone who wants to learn how to fish lake Ontario and/or the Salmon River!!! I have learned some much that I will never forget thanks for all the memories too!!!

Hey Shane,
Lenny form Maine here.We (Ron Matt and I), wanted to say thanks for a great day on the river. Even more,Thanks for teaching us the tricks of the trade, which made for a great week for us. Without your help, and egg sacks,we probably would have had a long week of fishing under those tough conditions.
We ended up with a total of 25 fish, a couple of 10 lbers, and 5 fish for the taxidermist. We lost a few "giants",and I hooked one on the last afternoon that was bigger than anything I saw all week, huge. We had good luck on caddis larva, and prince nymphs under the floats.
Thanks again, and we will look you up on our next trip down. We will spread your name around here, and tell everyone you are the guy to go with. There is a reason you are busier than any of the other guides we talked with. Good luck and tight lines!!
Sincerly, Len, Ron, and Matt
